Boa tarde, hoje é o primeiro dia do meu blogue de viagens! :)

Adoro viajar! Acho tão importante, tão enriquecedor!

Às vezes faltam livros com tudo explicadinho como eu gosto!

Adoro planear viagens, ver os sítios todos no mesmo lado para evitar zig-zags, mas nos livros isso nem sempre é possível! Resolvi escrever eu os meus roteiros, que eu planeio com muito carinho!

Às vezes é difícil encontrar os horários de abertura, os preços, o tempo que demora a visitar os locais. Então resolvi colocar tudo junto, costumo fazer para mim, espero que vos ajude :)

Hello, this is the first day of my Traveling blog! :)

I love traveling! I think it is so important, so enriching! 

There are no books with everything  well explained, the way I like !

I love to plan trips, see the attractions and the monuments all on the same place avoiding zig-zags, but that is not always possible in the books! I decided to write my roadmaps, and my journey that I plan carefully.

Sometimes it is difficult to find the opening hours, the prices and the time it takes to visit some attractions. So I decided to put everything together, I usually do it for me and I hope it helps you :)

TURQUIA! Foi uma viagem de 15 dias. Os roteiros das agências envolviam sempre autocarros, ou locais que já conhecíamos (Éfeso) ou locais que segundo os relatos não tinham interesse (Ankara, Konya). Então decidi fazer uma viagem a nossa medida!

Marcamos as viagens directas de avião de Lisboa para Istambul. Viajar dentro da Turquia de avião é super barato, as viagens são low cost (cerca de 30-50eur - compradas com tempo)! :)

Começamos por viajar à noite para aproveitar o dia de manhã bem cedo.

TURKEY! It was a 15 days trip. Agency itineraries always involved buses or visiting places we already knew (Ephesus) or places that according to our friends/family had no interest (Ankara and Konya)! So, I decided to make a trip to our measure! 

We scheduled direct flight from Lisbon to Istanbul. Travel in Turkey by plane is very cheap, the flights are low cost (about 30-50eur - bought with time)! :) 

We start by traveling at night to enjoy the day in the early morning. 

Ficamos 3 dias em Istambul (que foram mais do que suficientes), 2 dias na Capadócia, 1 em Pamukkale e uma semana em Bogazkent (Antalya).

We stayed 3 days in Istanbul (which were more than enough), 2 days Cappadocia, 1 in Pamukkale and a week in Bogazkent (Antalya).

Nesse dia às 15h seguimos para o Aeroporto para apanhar o voo para a Capadócia (Nevsehir) e ficamos hospedados em Goreme.

At 3p.m. we went to the Airport to catch the flight to Cappadocia (Nevsehir) and we stayed at a Hotel in Goreme.

Viagem de carro até Aksehir (no meio do nada) / Drive to Aksehir (in the middle of nowhere)

Alugamos um carro desde o Hotel em Goreme até Antalya, uma vez que não havia voos directos entre a Capadócia e Pamukkale. Foram super competentes e foram levar-nos o carro antes da hora combinada (enganaram-nos só com uma taxa de auto-estrada que tivemos que pagar a mais - 15eur - e não passamos nenhuma auto-estrada).

Uma vez que o Google Maps dizia que a viagem de Goreme para Pamukkale eram 10h20 optamos por ficar a um pouco mais de meio do caminho - Aksehir (6h). Na realidade não são as 6h que o Google Maps diz, foram 4h e pouco, com uma paragem pelo caminho, podíamos ter feito mais 2horas de caminho!!

We rented a car from the hotel in Goreme to Antalya because there are no direct flights between Cappadocia and Pamukkale. The guys from the car rental company were super competent and have the car in our hotel before the appointed time (they only cheated us with a rate of highway that we had to pay - 15eur - and we do not pass on any highway). 

Since Google Maps said the trip from Goreme to Pamukkale was 10h20 we opted to stay a little more than halfway - Aksehir (6h). Actually, we didn’t take 6h to get in Aksehir , but only 4h15, with a stop on the way. We could have driven  more 2hours and stay near Pamukkale!!

Dia 8-13 / Day 8-13

Praia / Beach

Dia 13 à noite voamos de Antalya para Istambul, dormimos num hotel próximo do aeroporto e dia 14 voltamos para Lisboa.

We had an evening flight at 13th day from Antalya to Istambul, we slept in an hotel near the airport and in the next day morning we returned to Lisbon.

Temperaturas:

Fomos no final de Junho, as temperaturas andaram nos 25º em Istambul mas como há alguma humidade a sensação é de muito mais calor. À noite as temperaturas mantinham-se, sem grandes variações!

Em Pamukkale passamos um calor horrível, com 42º, era sufocante! Mas o sr. do hotel disse que não costuma ser assim em Junho, só em Julho e Agosto!

Na praia as temperaturas eram muito altas, mas o mar (a 27º) estava ali ao lado para refrescar!

Temperatures: 

We went in 20th June and  the temperatures in Istanbul were around 25º C but there is some moisture so it feels much more heat. At night the temperatures were the same, without great variations! 

In Pamukkale we spent a horrible heat, with 42º C, it was stifling! The guy from the hotel said in June the temperatures usually are not so high, only in July and August! 

On the beach the temperatures were very high but we had the sea (with 27º C) to refresh! 

Transportes:

Em Istambul o taxi, para nós, foi o meio de transporte mais barato. Éramos 4 e ficava ao mesmo preço que as viagens no transporte público, por vezes até mais barato (caso tivéssemos que apanhar dois transportes diferentes). Além de mais barato, foi mais rápido e mais cómodo.

O trânsito é caótico! Assusta mesmo! Semáforos vermelhos não se respeitam na maioria das vezes! 

Tivemos sempre que negociar, porque eles pedem muito mais ou dizem que é com o taxímetro! Mas dizemos um valor, eles podem dizer que não mas acabam por ir atrás de nós e aceitar! Ou outro taxista aceita, caso o valor seja justo.

Chegamos ao aeroporto de noite, e fomos de taxi para o hotel (custou cerca de 50TL). A ida do hotel para o aeroporto foi de 45TL a meio da tarde.

Quando dormimos no hotel do aeroporto custou-nos a ida para o hotel 25TL e a ida para o aeroporto 15TL.

Eles não sabem bem falar Inglês, entendem os números.

Em Nevsehir (aeroporto da Capadócia) supostamente tinha combinado irmos num shuttle, que o hotel organizou, mas como não encontrei o nosso nome não pensei duas vezes e fui regatear o preço com o taxi, antes que ele se apercebesse que não íamos no shuttle e o poder para negociar fosse menor.

Pedia 120TL para nos levar a Goreme. Negociei para 80TL (que era o preço do shuttle: 20TL por pessoa, éramos 4)!

Contratamos um serviço de guia na Capadócia para que conseguíssemos ver tudo o que queríamos no mesmo dia e não nos perdermos por aquelas estradas - há muitos relatos de pessoas que não dão com os sitíos no próprio carro!

A viagem de carro de Goreme (Capadócia) até Pamukkale e de lá até Antalya correu super bem. As estradas são boas, não é nada perigoso e não há grande movimento!

Era a experiência de que tínhamos mais medo, mas correu lindamente.

Para ir para o aeroporto de Antalya, tínhamos o shuttle do hotel, que tinha que ser reservado 2 dias antes, mas optamos por saber o preço do taxi! Há sempre pelo menos 3 taxis à porta de cada hotel. O preço, uma vez mais, era menor! Fomos então de taxi para o aeroporto.

Transport: 

In Istanbul Taxi was the cheapest means of transport for us. We were 4 and it was the same price as the trips on public transport and sometimes even cheaper (if we had to pick two different transports). Besides it was faster and more convenient. 

The traffic is chaotic! Red lights are not respected most of the time! 

You have always to negotiate before getting in the taxi. Usually they ask for more or say it is with the meter! Say a value, they can say no at the beginning but eventually they come behind us and accept, or other Taxi driver accept if it is a fair price.

We arrived at the airport at night, and we went by taxi to the hotel (50TL). The trip from the hotel to the airport was 45TL mid-afternoon. 

When we slept in an hotel near the airport the trip to the hotel was 25TL and 15TL the return to the airport. 

Most taxi drivers don’t speak English, they only understand the numbers.

In Nevsehir (Cappadocia airport) we had arranged a shuttle to the hotel. But I didn’t find our name  on the list. I did not think twice and went to haggle the price with the taxi before he might realize that we were not going in the shuttle.

He asked 120TL to take us to Goreme. He accept 80TL (which was the price of the shuttle: 20TL per person, we were 4)! 

We hired a guide service in Cappadocia so that we could see everything we wanted on the same day and not to lose ourselves through those roads that only have the names of the places in Turkish.

The trip, by car,  from Goreme (Cappadocia) to Pamukkale and from Pamukkale to Antalya ran very well. The roads are good, it's not dangerous and there is no great traffic! 

We were a little afraid of this trip, but it was perfect. 

To go to Antalya airport, we had the hotel shuttle, which had to be booked two days before the flight, but we chose the taxi! There are always at least 3 taxis at the door of each hotel. The Taxi price was lower!(again)!
